If you’re a crafter of any kind, looking to learn a new skill, indulge in some ‘me’ time or entertain the kids, then you need to know about the wonderful Colour Factory.  Located next to the leisure centre car park, you might have already noticed the cute-as-a-button bungalow with its bunting and bright pink door. And I promise you it’s every bit as inviting as it looks from the outside.

Step through the pink door and you’ll find a friendly, relaxed, bright and buzzing little hub of craft and creativity, sequins and sewing, paint and patterns. Everywhere you look, covering the walls and hanging from the ceilings, are the results of some serious handywork. You instantly feel like rolling up your sleeves and joining in.

The place is run by a lovely team of local professional artists who put together a great programme of workshops catering for kids, teens and adults. You’ll be hard pushed not to find something that grabs you. And when you have, you’ll head on through to their lovely garden workshop, known as the lightbox, to get stuck in.
